Empowering Citizens to Build a More Accountable Ghana

Citizens Watch Ghana (CWGH) is a non-political, non-governmental charitable organization working in the Bono, Upper East and Upper West Regions of Ghana. First established and registered with the Registrar General’s Department in 2009 as the Women and Youth Support Centre (WYSC), the organization was renamed Citizens Watch Ghana in 2019 as part of a strategic rebrand.

Today, CWGH is positioned as an advocacy organization representing the voiceless — partnering with communities across Ghana to demand accountability and transparency in the delivery of public services that impact the lives of the disadvantaged.

Since 2009, CWGH has partnered with organizations including the Ghana Anti-Corruption Coalition, GAVI, Action Aid Ghana, and the Ghana Center for Democratic Governance to deliver projects across Bono, Upper East, and Upper West regions — from routine child immunization campaigns to local accountability networks.
